Latex Vapor Retarder Paint
Paint can serve as a vapor retarder to reduce the diffusion of water vapor through materials, such as drywall, replacing 4-mil polyethylene sheets and coated kraft paper. Benjamin Moore Paints recently introduced Moorcraft Latex Vapor Barrier Primer Sealer 260. With a perm rating below 1.0, this product meets the requirements of a vapor retarder with a single coat. It cleans up with soap and water. One gallon covers up to 400 sq. ft. It can be re-coated in 2 hours. Up to 2.0 fl. oz. of universal tints can be added. Moorcraft 260 can be applied to new or previously painted wood, plaster, drywall or masonry.
