Home Energy Automation System

home energy automation

PSG Industries has introduced the Building Home Automation system. It uses standard electric lines to send signals between individual controls. The system controls line voltage space heaters, electric water heaters, lights and appliances. The systems comprises a time programmer that allows the occupant to set 2 comfort periods and 2 economy periods on each of seven days. Motion transmitters sense when an area is occupied. Occupants set room temperatures with individual digital thermostats, which are connected to line voltage at 120 or 240 volts. A water heater controller allows adjustment of water temperature to take advantage of time of day electric rates. Switching modules can be hard wired to lights and appliances or switching outlets allow them to be plugged in.
