HydroHeat GSHP with Year-round Water Heating

Most ground source heat pumps include water heaters that provide "free" hot water during cooling operation. The HydroHeat is unique, because it uses a dedicated water heating coil that generates hot water even when heating and cooling functions aren't operating.

The manufacturer lists a minimum coefficient of performance of 3.3 for heating mode and 2.7 for water heating. Space heating capacity ranges from 24,600 to 64,500 btu/hr.

The heat pump can be connected to an open or closed loop source. The manufacturer claims that incoming liquid temperatures can range from 26 degrees F to 95 degrees F. Both upflow and downflow cabinets are available.

Manufacturer: HydroDelta Corp.
