Simplex has introduced R-Wrap, which retards air penetration better than Barricade, another Simplex product. R-wrap's water vapor transmission is also better. Barricade is woven from thin ribbons of polyolefin and coated with a thin plastic film, which is then perforated. R-Wrap is a nonwoven matrix of threads applied to a plastic film. It's not perforated, but the perm rate of 203g/m2 gives it a higher rate of vapor transmission than other housewraps. R-Wrap comes in several widths 36, 54 and 108 in. Rolls are 100 or 150 ft. long.
