Maxtop HRV Fits in Tight Spots

Installing a heat recovery ventilator in a tight spot can be a headache. Models designed for tight spaces have all four duct connection collars on the top. In their new Maxtop model, Nutech has improved on that idea by positioning the duct collars on a 45 degree angle so that ducts can be taken off vertically or horizontally.

The unit's small size (22-1/2 x 25-1/2 x 26-1/2) also eases installation. Servicing is simple too, because all the controls, electronics and even the motors can be accessed through the main door.

Like other Nutech ventilators, the Maxtop boasts impressive performance certified by the Home Ventilating Institute. Air flow is 181 cfm at 0.3 inches w.g. (75 pascals) of static pressure. Recovery efficiency is 64 percent at 32 degrees F and 117 cfm. At O degrees F and 67 cfm efficiency is 70 percent. The Maxtop uses an aluminum heat exchange core. Defrost is accomplished by recirculating exhaust-side air. The permanent split capacitor motor offers five-speed operation.
