Setback Thermostat without Programming

Landlords who pay the utility bills of tenants have always struggled with ways to keep heating and cooling costs down. Now Lightstat offers a new thermostat that gives landlords more control. In their new TG series, the upper and lower temperature limits are set at the factory to the buyer's specifications. The limits cannot be changed in the field, but residents can adjust the temperature setting freely within those limits.

Like previous Lightstat models, a photocell detects when the lights go off and automatically reduces the temperature setting. The logic is simple, when light is present--either daylight or artificial light--people must be present, too. When it's dark, residents are sleeping and offices are closed. This automatic setback requires no difficult programming, making it easy to use in homes or offices.

The TG series is a 24-volt, single stage thermostat for heating or heating and cooling applications. In most cases, Lightstats can easily replace existing thermostats. Lightstat also offers line-voltage thermostats.
