Grundfos has introduced a new zone control valve for hydronic heating systems that is fast, efficient and easy to service. Called Power Zone™, the valve can open and close in just a few seconds without a water hammer. Power Zone also creates about half the flow resistance of similar products. The highly efficient motor draws less power, so eight valves can operate from one 40 amp-volt transformer. Another unique feature improves serviceability. The motor can be replaced and the valve seat rebuilt without removing the entire valve. The bronze valve is available in 3/4-in., 1-in. and 1 1/4-in. sizes.
