Grundfos has introduced a new zone control valve for hydronic heating systems that is fast, efficient and easy to service. Called power zone, the valve can open and close in just a few seconds without water hammer. Power zone also creates about half the flow resistance of similar products. The motor is also more efficient. Low power draw means that eight valves can operate from one 40 amp-volt transformer. Another unique feature improves serviceability. The motor can be replaced and the valve seat rebuilt without removing the entire valve. The bronze valve is available in 3/4 in., 1 in. And 1-1/2 in. sizes.
