Hydronic heating and cooling, using fluids instead of air, has long been viewed as the most energy efficient method to condition interior spaces in commercial buildings. Using boilers and chillers with pumps to distribute hot and cold fluids create unlimited heating and cooling zones with an infinite range of temperatures per zone. These “wet” systems are far more energy efficient, quieter, and cleaner, contributing to better indoor air quality and greater comfort for the occupants. It’s all about Comfort Fluid systems are easier to zone allowing for greater individual temperature settings thus accommodating many individual preferences. Also, fluid based systems are much quieter than forced air. Hydronika® chiller-boiler units are patterned after commercial installations and arrive on site factory pre-tested with chillers, boilers, pumps and controls all in an outdoor enclosure made of stainless steel. Sizes range from 6 through 26 tons of cooling matched with 80,000 through 399,000 BTU boilers. Models can be ordered in 4 pipe or 6 pipe configurations. All units are made in the USA using UL-CSA listed components.

Two Approaches Hydronika® 4 pipe systems provide simultaneous hot and cold fluids and are cooled by variable speed condenser fans. Hydronika® 6 pipe systems utilize water as well as air cooling to remove condenser heat. When using water, a 6 pipe system redirects waste heat back to the cooling water source. Pools and spas that are used as the cooling water source are heated for “free” as the chiller operates.
