Maytag Series 10 Water Heaters

Maytag is now extending its dependability message to water heaters. Maytag Series 10 water heaters offer high levels of energy-efficiency and durability. All models use the Jetforce cold water inlet to fight sediment buildup and Thermalock heat trap fittings to block convection losses in pipes.

The Series 10 gas water heaters achieve a superior Energy Factor (EF) of .64 for both 40 and 50 gallon models with 40,000 btu input. The 50 gallon tank with 52,500 btu input also shows well with EF .60. Series 10 also offers a power vented gas water heater that permits a total vent distance of 35 feet. In the electric models, three inches of polyurethane insulation contributes to the excellent energy performance, with an EF that ranges from .94 for the 30-gallon model to .91 for the 80-gallon tank.

Because of their design and efficiency, these heaters deliver more hot water compared to typical water heaters. For example, the first hour rating of the 40-gallon power vented model is 76 gallons, while the 50-gallon electric models is 53 gallons (3800 watt element).
