Enertek Solutions, Inc. Releases First Lithium Battery-Powered Marine System for Military and Civilian Use

PORTLAND, Ore. – Enertek Solutions, Inc., a Portland, Ore.-based research and development company specializing in anti-idling battery technology, announced today the release of its newest product, the Infini-Gen® Marine System.

While still heavily involved in the heavy-duty transportation industry, the co-principals of Enertek Solutions, Inc., Paul Baumann and Bruce Wingen, just concluded a cross-country trip introducing the lightweight and compact, climate-controlled heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and power load system at the Multi Agency Craft Conference (MACC) 2009 in Norfolk, Va. The new Infini-Gen® military application system was on display at the show, installed on a boat provided by Aluminum Chambered Boats, Inc. (A.C.B.) that is destined for the military. The new marine battery system was well-received by the public and military officials at the show.

“Simply put, batteries are the key,” says Enertek Solutions, Inc. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Wingen. “Newer Lithium battery packs operate at 99 percent efficiency because of low impedence, and they generate very little heat.”

Leveraging the same sophisticated battery management system as previous technology, Enertek Solutions, Inc.’s developed the new sealed marine battery system with a desire to expand the industry’s need for an all-electric trolling motor. The Infini-Gen® Marine System does not produce gases or require the need for ventilation. “We’ve come a long way since we started working on a commercially viable product some three years ago,” says Wingen. “Our SETAS [Stealth Energy Tactical Advantage System] program developed specifically for all the marinized branches of the military is going to set the bar a lot higher than previously with even the most advanced lead-acid batteries.”

The plug-n-play design of Enertek Solutions, Inc.’s new Infini-Gen® Marine System makes it easy to retrofit, customize and otherwise serve the needs of consumers in both military and civilian capacities, including professional walleye and bass fishermen. “The new Infini-Gen® Marine System is effectively a game-changer in defending America’s shores," says Wingen.

Enertek Solutions, Inc.’s Chief Battery Engineer Martin Koebler agrees that the design of the new Infini-Gen® Marine System is revolutionizing battery technology. “It’s exciting to see the chemistries of Lithium Polymer advance to the point of dramatically extended battery life as well as safety, superior performance and zero maintenance,” says Koebler. “This new battery technology bodes well for the marine industry, which has been plagued for decades with problems revolving around reliability, weight and longevity”.

Additionally, Koebler says the new Infini-Gen® Marine System further exemplifies Enertek Solutions, Inc.’s commitment to designing auxiliary power units and other products in the interest of reducing the industry’s carbon footprint and its reliance on fossil fuels and older battery technology.
