Buddy Rhodes Launches Buddy's Ultra Green Concrete Mix
SAN FRANCISCO, CA—Buddy Rhodes’ newest brainstorm, Buddy Rhodes Ultra Green Concrete, is the greenest concrete on the market today. Finally, after extensive research and development, Buddy has teamed up with Clean Concrete Technologies to bag a concrete formulation that uses 91% recycled and by-product materials without sacrificing strength or durability. Buddy’s Ultra Green Concrete (B.U.G.) also drastically reduces the amount of resource intensive Portland cement used in the mix, thereby achieving 50% embodied energy savings over traditional concrete. The fact of the matter is that the process of creating Portland Cement, the key ingredient of all concrete, is an energy intensive process, requiring a lot of water and high temperatures, generally in a coal or gas fired furnace.
