CONCRETE WALL
FORMING SYSTEM
The original insulated concrete form
Manufactured in Canada since 1953

What is Durisol?
The Durisol material is a low-density cement-bonded wood fiber composite made from post-industrial recycled waste lumber and Portland Cement. Durisol does not burn or melt and is completely resistant to mold and rot. We do not use polystyrene, foams, plastics or other potentially detrimental materials in the manufacture of our products.

Material Features

  • Made from “Durisol” - a cement bonded wood fibre composite
  • 80% recycled content (clean natural wood-waste)
  • Completely inert
  • Allows winter construction
  • Easily worked with carpenters tools
  • Moisture resistant
  • Dimensionally stable
  • Free-draining (prevents liquid water damage within wall system)
  • Inhibits mold and fungal growth (regulates RH levels)

What is the Wall Form System?
Durisol Wall Form units are approxi-mately 12” high x 36” long and between 6” and 12” wide. Each Wall Form unit is designed to stack and interlock without the need for tools and/or mortar. Units are simply dry stacked and filled with reinforced concrete. This efficient method of concrete construction results in a wall that has built-in thermal, moisture, fire and acoustic protection.

Performance

  • Fire proof - Four Hour Rating - Zero Flame Spread - Zero Smoke Spread
  • Soundproof (STC > 52, NRC > 0.75)
  • Hygroscopic - Regulates indoor air quality and prevents water vapour condensation
  • Optimized wall design (R8 to R20)
  • Cost effective
