| Green Building is a discussion forum for anyone interested in green building issues. The intent of this forum is to discuss and promote green building principles and practices on all types of projects. For those interested specifically in large buildings, check out the Big Green Discussion Group.
The list is co-sponsored by BuildingGreen and REPP/CREST. You can participate in the discussion by e-mail or through a web interface.

With the following command in the body (not the subject) of the message:

If the program does not pick up your real name (required) from the heading, you'll get an error explaining how to send it with the subscribe command. Once subscribed, you'll receive a welcoming message that includes instructions for unsubscribing. Please store this message for future reference. After you sign up, you'll receive messages posted to the list. To post your own question or comment, send e-mail to "greenbuilding@listserv.repp.org". You must be a member of the list to send messages. Depending on your personal subscription settings, you may receive a short confirmation email or see your message posted to the list; you might also get no notification. Use the Web interface to change these settings.
Web interface
You can read the archives, post a message or response (login required), or change your subscription options using the list's Web site:

Archives are automatically posted every week, and provide several options for sorting and navigation messages. You can also reply to message directly from the archive if you have already logged in.
Click on "Join or leave the list (or change settings) " to switch your subscription to digest mode, temporarily disable message delivery, receive an acknowledgement or copy of your posts, change your header type, etc. For a full explanation, see the subscription options settings help page. You can also subscribe and unsubscribe through the same interface; useful if you're trying to unsubscribe from an address that you can no longer use to send mail. Changes require confirmation by email unless you set up a password and log in.

The Green Building Discussion Group welcomes announcements about products, events, web sites and other information resources that have a direct bearing on sustainable building design and construction. Announcements should be _brief_ and contain a URL or email address where more information may be obtained. Announcements should be identified in the subject line of the message with words such as Announcement, Event, Product, Web Site, etc. Please avoid overly promotional or advertorial postings.
If you're using the digest mode, be sure to insert the subject to which you're responding. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AUTOMATICALLY. Using the reply function of your email software will generally copy the digest subject, not the subject of the specific message.
Please quote only the relevant passage(s) from a message to which you're responding. Long quotes waste the reader's time and Internet's bandwidth. Message length is limited by the server -- long messages will not be posted.
